I’d call it the most revolutionary treat I’ve ever had! Coldstone Creamery has reinvented ice cream with their new treat: Jell-o Pudding Ice Cream!

A thought came to me the last time I dipped my spoon in to a messy ice-cream-dripping treat, “Why can’t they invent an ice cream that doesn’t drip every where!?” Well, Coldstone answered my prayers when they joined forces with Jell-o, the makers of every kids favorite summer treat, to create an ice-cream like no other!

I first learned about this awesome treat on twitter and thought it was a joke, until I was shocked to find the delicious delights on the Coldstone official website!

The new pudding ice-cream comes in two flavors: Chocolate-Y Goodness and Butterscotch Velvet.

The pudding ice-cream has an amazing texture of pudding and ice-cream combined. This has also brought me to the fact that it does NOT melt! If you leave it out for 4 hours the only mess in your cup will be a cup of pudding! I’ve had mine sitting here for almost an hour and it hasn’t turned to liquid (like regular ice cream does)!

Unfortunately, these goodies will only be around for a limited time from now until June 28th. (They fulfill my dreams for only a little while)

Here are some photos of the jell-o-y goodness:

Just got it home

Held here for about 30 seconds with no plopping to the top of the lid!

After about 45 min of sitting on my desk, the ice-cream is still thick and Isn’t drippy – this is about the equivalent of a regular Coldstone ice-cream out for about 10 min.

Not runny. The same effect of pudding!

Now, some interesting stuff that went down at the Coldstone near my house when I went to get my tasty pudding ice-cream:

So, I walked in and I asked “do you have the ice-cream that doesn’t melt here.”

The girl looked at me funny and said huh?

I responded “you know, the ice-cream that’s suppose to be like pudding.”

She then replies, “Oh, we got this new ice-cream in just a few hours ago! It said pudding on the box so maybe this is it!”

So I told her that’s what I’d like! So she proceeds to the ice cream freezer, takes out a scoop and puts it in a cup and puts the lid on.

I was a little shocked and thought to myself “Uh, where’s all the goodies that go inside the ice-cream? You know, the whole point of Coldstone Creamery!?” So I opened my mouth and told her “Actually, the new treats are suppose to have things in then. Like chocolate, drizzle etc.”

Her response “Oh really? I had no idea! We weren’t even told what to do with this stuff! So, I don’t know what goes in it.”

::Tire Screech::

I was baffled! How could such a revolutionary product come out and these employees didn’t have a clue about it! What happened to the manager? Isn’t it his job to tell his employees about promotions like these especially one that are for a limited time?!

This isn’t the first time promotions have slipped by the employees thanks to the management at this Coldstone, but that’s a whole other story.

::Back to our pudding ice-cream story::

Shocked I ask “Really!? Well, let me check what it’s suppose to include on my iPhone”

I pull up safari navigate to the coldstonecreamery.com and can’t find it on the site. “Ugh, no advertisements for it on their front page!? Ugh, and this damn iPhone and it’s lack of support for FLASH! I can’t find it now!”

So I decided to make up my own concoction. I tell the girl “Lets add some brownies, chocolate chips, caramel and fudge drizzle!”

Luckily that came out to be a tasty mixture!

So I paid, let the girls in on the fact that if they leave the ice cream out for 4 hours they’ll have a cup of pudding, they agreed to take the test and I strolled out with my Custom Ordered Butterscotch Jell-o Pudding Ice-Cream and ran home to tell you about it!

But anyway, my last question is “How is this awesome product going to be sold if the employees don’t even know about the facts!!!!”

Get it together out there!

Here is the original promotion I found.
