As promised, here is the tutorial on how to change your TweetDeck icon for Windows users.

This tutorial will only change your desktop and start menu icons.

I’m still researching whether it is possible to change the actual application/window icon that usually appears in the top-most left-hand corner of the window.  The process is not as simple as replacing an icon in Mac OS X and may involve re-compiling the application itself.

For now, this will at least change it on your desktop and on the start menu (which are the biggest icons anyway!).

So after Seesmic rolled out with some new features and being named the “new” twirl it seems like Tweetdeck wanted to up it’s mark and come out with an unscheduled update!

The update came out yesterday and it fixes a number of bugs and adds a few new features including: Facebook integration, a Digg URL shortener, support for Spotify URLs, previewing of TwitPic images inside the app and preview of information about short URLs within the application before opening the link, and 12 second video integration, which allows you to record and share short videos directly from TweetDeck.

Now, I was really excited when TweetDeck rolled out these updates yesterday – minus one un-needed update.

Myspace has had a complete redesign and will no longer be killing our eyes with advertisements!

They have finally listened to the many complaints of their users and have completely removed ads from all of their pages! Instead they will offer and new premium web experience.

Each profile will consist of a sleek un-customizable design – free of ads, which will also include a new add-ons section – one interesting add-on that caught my eye allows you to listen to your profile comments though a voicemail like service via a personal myspace phone number given to each user using it’s new service, currently in beta “Myspace Phony” The service allows users to call their online and offline buddies for a real life chat rather than chatting through text.

Had an awesome day at #fowa (the future of web apps conference – for those who don’t know) yesterday which led to a phenomenal ending. Wine Library Tv’s, Gary Vaynerchuck (@garyvee), presented an awesome, inspirational and passionate speech.

I was very fortunate to speak with Gary after the presentation and he gave me a lot of great advice about doing what you’re passionate about and not being fake. He’s a great guy who actually takes the time out to answer e-mails and questions! (Insert Awesome Photo Here)

During his presentation yesterday I used my little buddy (iPhone) to record his speech (iTalk rocks).
